Orange and Almond Cake
Ingredients
- 2 reasonable sized navel oranges
- 250gms caster sugar
- 250gms ground almonds
- 1tspn baking powder
- 6 eggs
Method
- Boil oranges for one and a half to two hours and then allow to
cool. (Make sure that you top up water so that they don't boil
dry)
- Cut the oranges into segments and then
process with all remaining ingredients.
- Pour into a 22cm cake tin which has
been lightly greased and lined with greaseproof paper.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes at 180 degrees.
