for approximately 5 dozen Needless Markup cookies
- 250g butter, 1cup white suger, 1 cup brown sugar, creamed
- 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix in to creamed butter and sugar along with
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal and then blend in a blender to a fine powder)
- 1/2 tsp. salt (I used none)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. bicarb soda
- Add and mix in:
- 300g chocolate chips
- 100g nestles club chocolate (grated)
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts - walnuts, pecans, or macadamias?
- Roll into balls and place 5cm apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 180 C degrees.
Baker's note: I found that it was best to remove the cookies as soon as they
had begun to colour, let them cool and firm up up the tray before removing to a
wire rack. I also found that it was best to make chunky sized cookies - more
cookie for less effort!
